BU Terriers All-Access #5; Terrier recruits aim for gold at U18 Championships--UPDATED




Episode 5 of BU Terriers All-Access reviews the Terriers’ playoff games, examines the career of Mike Grier and looks back at the season’s highlights.

Senior goalie Sean Maguire talked with his hometown newspaper about signing with the Penguins and joining their AHL team in Wilkes Barre/Scranton.

Junior Robbie Baillargeon is set to graduate this summer and will use the NCAA’s graduate transfer option to play his final year of eligibility with another D1 program.   

Led by 2016 recruits Kieffer Bellows, Clayton Keller, Chad Krys and Jake Oettinger, Team USA begins preliminary round play Thursday in the IIHF World U18 Championships in Grand Forks, N.D. Team USA’s first opponent is Russia with puck drop at 7:30 p.m. CT. NHL Network will air the game on a delayed basis at 11 p.m. ET. Keller and Krys, who also were members of the 2015 US squad, will be seeking to duplicate last year’s gold-medal performance. 2016 recruit Dante Fabbro will skate in the tournament for Canada.

NHL Central Scouting has issued its final draft rankings with four Terriers among the top18 North American skaters. Freshman Charlie McAvoy was ranked #6, while Keller and Bellows were #9 and #10 respectively, while 2016 recruit Dante Fabbro was #18. Also ranked were 2016 recruits Krys (#53) and Patrick Harper (#143) and 2017 recruit  Ty Amonte (#201).
