Award Season Begins  (New Outcomes All-Rookie)

Hockey East began announcing its awards for the season revealing the Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team, which includes Lane Hutson and Ryan Greene. Hutson was a unanimous choice. Interestingly, the league’s coaches voted five forwards and no goalie to the team. Other selections were forwards Kenny Connors (UMass), Cutter Gauthier (BC), Cam Lund (NU) and Matthew Wood (UConn). NU’s Hunter McDonald was the other defenseman selected.

Lane Hutson garnered two other awards: With 34 points (9g,25a), he was the league games scoring champion with Matt Brown and Merrimack’s Alex Jeffries the runners-up with 30 each. He also claimed the PNC Bank Three Stars Award, edging out Northeastern’s Devon Levi. Hutson and Brown tied for the overall scoring title with 43 apiece.
