Looking ahead
2012 recruit Robert Polesello scored his first regular season goal in the Indiana Ice’s opener, a 4-3 overtime win over Cedar Rapids. He registered three goals and two assists in four preseason games. In its review of the USHL Fall Classic, USHR posted:

5’6”, 170 lb. Robert Polesello is the key to Indiana’s attack, and could compete for the league scoring title. He’s a lot of fun to watch, shifty, and very dangerous down low. He sees it, and has the hands to make it happen. Very clever, very high skill, tough to defend against. BU fans will like him.

Looking back
Nick Bonino helped the Syracuse Crunch begin its preseason with a win, scoring a goal in a 4-1 victory over Toronto.

Former Terrier captain Jay Pandolfo, who was in the Islanders’ training camp on tryout basis, has been signed to a one-year contract. His next goal will the 100th of his NHL career.

The Hockey East Rookie of the Year could be sidelined for the rest of first semester.
