Just one game on BU’s weekend agenda, a conference matchup with UMass Lowell at Tsongas Arena Saturday evening at 7 p.m.. Under new coach Norm Bazin, the River Hawks have a 2-3 record following a pair of losses to BC in which they were very competitive. No longer a center-zone trap team, Lowell is, according to some reports, playing a transition game emphasizing speed and shooting often.
The Daily Free Press spoke with Coach Jack Parker who will be tweaking his lines with the return of junior right wing Alex Chiasson to the lineup. Sophomore Sahir Gill (photo), whom Parker praised as “our most consistent top performer” will center the third line, a move designed to create a third scoring unit. Gill, with a 3-5-8 line, has at least one point in all six games this season. Freshman Alexx Privitera will return to the Terrier blueline while junior Max Nicastro sits one out.
BU’s scheduled Jan. 4 game at Harvard has been moved to Jan. 14, and The Boston Hockey Blog learned from Parker that the game could be relocated to Fenway, a move the Terrier coach does not favor.

Looking back
