Ben Rosen,
who graduated in May, is in Israel with Team USA at the 2013 Maccabiah Games.
Rosen is one of three Boston University athletes participating in the games. He’s
been named co-captain of the U.S. squad that will face skaters from Israel,
Canada, Russia and Ukraine. Former BU All-American Colby Cohen had been named
to the US squad, but is still rehabbing an injury before heading to Finland
where he’ll play for Ässät in the SM-liiga.
Rosen, who
began his BU career as a defenseman, but switched to center, spent last week at
Islanders development camp—along with Cason Hohmann, Evan Rodrigues and
incoming freshman Doyle Somerby—and is expected to skate next season for the
Islander’s AHL affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
