2016 recruit Clayton Keller scored a pair of goals and
added three assists for Shattuck St. Mary’s Prep as the Sabres defeated
Okanagan Hockey Academy, 8-1, for their third consecutive World Sports
School Challenge championship. The sophomore forward from Illinois earned player
of the game honors and was SSM’s top scorer in the tournament. 2014 recruit Chase Phelps netted a pair in
Shattuck’s semifinal
victory.

Former Terrier co-captain John McCarthy picked up his
first assists of the season for San Jose in the Sharks’ 5-1 thumping
of Edmonton
With a five game assist streak going, Alex Chiasson is promoted
to the Stars first line.
Three ex-Terriers were in the San Antonio Rampage lineup
and each hit the scoresheet. Ryan Whitney scored his first goal since joining
San Antonio. Wade Megan scored his
second since his mid-December recall from ECHL Cincinnati, assisted by Matt
Gilroy. But that was all the scoring for the Rampage, which lost to Oklahoma
City, 5-2.
Corey Trivino signed a Pro
Try-Out Contract with the AHL Portland Pirates. The Toronto native began
the season with ECHL Stockton, posting a 5-19-24 line in 29 games, including 12
points in December. He joins former Terrier teammate Brandon Yip on the Pirates,
a Phoenix Coyotes affiliate.
Justin Courtnall scored his third goal of the season for
Hamilton in a 2-1 win against
Abbottsford.
Women’s Program
#8 Terriers return to the ice Saturday hosting a
non-conference game against Dartmouth at Walter Brown Arena, starting at 3 p.m.
BU brings a 14-3-1 overall record into the game, along with a 19-game home
winning streak. Terriers are led by sophomore Sarah Lefort and senior captain
Louise Warren with 25 and 22 points respectively.

Sarah Lefort was named HE Player of the Month for December
after scoring seven goals and four assists in three games. She’s tied for the
NCAA lead in goals with 15.
Samantha Sutherland earned Rookie of The Month honors
after scoring a goal and three assists. She leads all conference freshmen with
11 assists and with +16, and is second in points with 15.
