Never in the history of hockey has someone played in the @Olympics, the @NCAAIceHockey tournament and the @NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs in the same year.— BU Men's Hockey (@TerrierHockey) April 11, 2018

Haven't seen this mentioned elsewhere but as the #Pens and #Flyers get underway, it's not the 1st time their coaches have met in the postseason.— Avash Kalra, MD (@AvashKalra) April 11, 2018
Boston University (with Mike Sullivan, a senior) eliminated North Dakota (with Dave Hakstol, a freshman) in the 1990 NCAA tournament.

Looking back
Nine years ago tonight, the Terriers won their fifth NCAA
title in what was recently deemed the best Frozen Four championship game of the
past 25 years, as BU rallied to defeat Miami in overtime, 4-3. Zach Cohen and
Nick Bonino scored extra-attacker goals in the final minute of regulation to
tie the score and Colby Cohen’s deflected slapshot provided the winner in
overtime, giving BU its fifth–and most important--title of that season.
Former Terrier captain Brian McGuirk has been named the new
head coach of The Governor’s Academy, his prep school alma mater where he was
an All-New England selection. McGuirk led the 2006-07 Terriers and scored the
overtime game-winner against BC in the 2007 Beanpot Championship game.
