The Athletic reported that rising junior Alex Vlasic has decided to return to BU next season, adding "
It wouldn’t be surprising if he signed his entry-level contract after his season next year, joined the Blackhawks right away and burned the first year of his NHL contract

Assessing the 6'6" defenseman's sophomore season, Coach Albie O'Connell told the publication: “He’s more confident, more poised. He’s stronger. He’s able to push guys off the puck now. He’s been great, like all scenarios, all situations. He’s in the lanes blocking shots. PK, he’s been terrific. He’s chipped in some offense. He’s playing on the power play this year on the one unit. He’s made a huge step. Like last year to this year, it’s night and day."

Jake Wise, who had entered the transfer portal, has landed at Ohio State, where two other former Terriers are on the roster: forward Mark Cheremeta, who was second in scoring for the Buckeyes with 19 points, and defenseman Dominic Vidoli. Also on the OSU roster is one-time BU commit Ryan O'Connell.

► WTBU Sports' Patrick Donnelly reports that Matt Quercia has informed teammates that he is entering the transfer portal, joining classmates Wise and Jack DeBoer.
