Former Terrier defenseman and a member of BU’s 1960 NCAA semifinalist team Andy Giuliotti passed away this past weekend after a short illness at age 70. He played from 1957-1960 on the final four winning seasons under Coach Harry Cleverly and was a teammate of BU Hall of Fame forward Bob Marquis. The uniforms of those teams inspired the throwback sweaters the current Terrier began wearing during the past two seasons.
Guiliotti [whom I met in 2005 when former Terrier players participated in the transition from Walter Brown Arena to Agganis Arena] earned a law degree from Suffolk University and practiced in the Boston area for forty years. Both he and his brother Joe were sports writers for the Boston Herald and the Record-American.
