BU is back on
the ice for a non-conference matchup with Holy Cross with puck drop a 7 p.m.
The teams last met in October 2011 with Holy Cross hanging on for a 5-4 win.
Tonight is
Holy Cross’ first game of the season. The Crusaders played an exhibition last
weekend, defeating Simon Fraser, 7-3. The visitors, who finished third in
Atlantic Hockey last season and had a 20-14-3 overall record, return five of
their top ten scorers, led by Shayne Stockton, Adam Schmidt and Castan Sommer.
Junior goalie Matt Ginn produced a 2.63 GAA and a .915 save percentage.

Trivia: The grandfathers of BU freshman Dalton MacAfee and Holy Cross junior
Jake Youso were teammates on the NY Giants team that played in the 1958 NFL
Championship game, losing to Baltimore, 23-17 in OT. Ken MacAfee was an offensive end and Frank Youso was an offensive tackle.
