Episode 4 of Inside BU Hockey
features Bernie Corbett’s interviews with head coach David Quinn, sophomore
wing Matt Lane and former Terrier forward and current Nashville Predators Assistant
General Manager Paul Fenton. The Springfield,
Mass native played 411 NHL games with seven teams, scoring 100 goals,
with his best season being 1989-90 when he put up a 32-18-50 line for Winnipeg.
Looking back
Nick Bonino has great
timing—as he demonstrated in waning seconds of regulations of the 2009 NCAA
championship game when his clutch
goal sent the game to overtime. Now in his fifth season with Anaheim, he’s
back in Boston for tomorrow night’s match-up with the Bruins, and thanks to
that serendipitous scheduling, Bonino is in the stands at Fenway Park tonight
to watch his BoSox try to clinch the World Series.
Earlier in the day,
Bonino and the Ducks skated at Agganis Arena, with Nick donning a red BU
practice jersey and catching up with some familiar faces. Duck.nhl.com talked
with Bonino about his
return to the BU campus.
Kieran Millan has been promoted
from CHL Denver to AHL Lake Erie, after winning all three starts for the
Cutthroats and being name Goalie of the Week in the CHL’s first week. Had he
stayed in Denver, he’d have found himself matched in the next game against
Brampton and his college roommate—and goaltending partner—Grant Rollheiser.
