Episode 14 of Inside BU Hockey features Bernie Corbett’s interviews with Head Coach
David Quinn, junior center Mike Moran and former Terrier co-captain Brad
Zancanaro. Moran,
a three-sports standout at Taft before spending the 2011-12 season with the
BCHL Victoria Grizzlies, has anchored BU’s fourth line this season and has the
best face-off win percentage of the four regular centers (.561). He scored five
goals last season and has two thus far this year.
Zancanaro,
a 90-point scorer in his four seasons
as a Terrier, helped lead BU to the 2006 Hockey East Championship,
centering the Terriers top line with co-captain David Van der Gulik and John
Laliberte. In December 2004 he scored
the game-winner (video)
against BC to earn Coach Jack Parker his 700th win. A month later,
he scored BU’s first-ever goal (video) at Agganis Arena
as the Terriers opened their new home with a 2-1 win against Minnesota.
►Junior goalie Matt O'Connor was interviewed tonight on the Pipeline Show with Dean Millard and Guy Flaming., discussing his current success leading to interest from half a dozen NHL teams, including Edmonton Oilers GM Craig MacTavish, and how college hockey has been the right path for him.
#2/3 Terriers return to conference play this weekend with a pair of critical games: #17 Boston College on Friday night and #6 UMass-Lowell Sunday afternoon. Sunday's game was moved up from an evening contest to avoid a conflict with the Patriots-Colts football game. Friday's game at 7 p.m. airs on NESN, while the Sunday 2 p.m. matinee can be watched on Terrier TV. Both games also air on the Terrier Sports Radio Network.
