A
fifth-round draft pick of the Islanders in 2012, Somerby was a captain at top
prep program Kimball Union prior to BU. The Marblehead, Massachusetts native, whose game took
a big step up from freshman to sophomore years, has now shown more speed and
offensive prowess as evidence by his rink-long rush and finish against
Northeastern.
Hohmann scored 92 points in four seasons as a Terrier and nearly rapped home a tying goal in the final minutes of last Spring's NCAA championship game. The Arlington, Texas native turned pro with the Sabres organization and,10 games into his pro career, Hohmann leads the ECHL Elmira Jackals in scoring with 11 points (4G, 7A).
USCHO’s
This
Week In Hockey East also talked with
Quinn about why the Terriers have rebounded after their loss to UConn with
three straight wins.
“Since then, these guys have really regrouped and we’ve played a lot harder, we’ve defended a lot better, we’ve created offense, our penalty kills have been much better and our power play has been good. You’re going to go through [tough] stretches of the season. You’re not going to play 34 great games. It’s going to be [a question of] how you react after a loss.”
