A
pair of Terriers, Captain Matt Grzelcyk and assistant captain Danny O’Regan, who
returned for their senior seasons, have signed entry-level contracts with their
NHL draft teams.
O’Regan has signed a two-year entry level contract with San Jose. The Needham, Mass., native, who finished his BU career with 154 points, had been the Sharks’ fifth-round draft pick in 2012. He led the Terriers in scoring as a freshman (38 points) and again as a senior (44 points).
Both
were Hockey East first-team
all-stars this season. Last
year, Grzelcyk was named to the first team and O’Regan to the second team
and both were first-team all-rookie in 2012-13.
