Terriers head to Lowell for their final regular season game against the #9/10
Riverhawks in a critical Hockey East game for both teams. Puck drop at the
Tsongas Center is at 7:15 p.m. In
the first BU-Lowell meeting, BU rode a three-goal third period to a 4-2 win at
Agganis Arena.
BU
remains three points behind front-runner BC while UMass Lowell, which rebounded
from a four-game losing streak with a pair of wins last weekend, is tied with
Notre Dame for fourth place. The Riverhawks showed renewed offensive production
with 14 goals in the wins against Northeastern and New Hampshire. Leading the
attack are Joe GambardellaJ(37 points), CJ Smith (32), Dylan Zink (27) and John
Edwardh (24).
Once again, Jake Oettinger will be matched against another freshman goalie with excellent numbers. Tyler Wall has a 2.22 GAA and a .914 save percentage in 22 games.
Coach
David Quinn has done some further tweaking of the BU forward lines with senior
Nick Roberto (photo) moving up to right-wing with JFK and Patrick Harper while Patrick
Curry slides down to the third line. Quinn also indicated there will be changes
to the Terrier power play, but didn’t provide details.
