#19 BU’s third-period rally, narrowing a 4-1 deficit to
just one goal, fell short as #7 Cornell hung on to gain a 4-3 victory, its
first in the six games of the Red Hot Hockey series at New York’s Madison
Square Garden.
With power play goals by sophomores Dante Fabbro and Chad
Krys and an even-strength score by classmate Patrick Harper, BU had the Big Red
on its heels through much of the third period. The Terriers stormed the Cornell
net in the final minutes, but couldn’t put an equalizer past goalie Matthew
Galajda.
