Game Day: Terriers at Northeastern

Terriers begin the final weekend of the regular season—a home-and-home with cross-town rival Northeastern—with the Hockey East playoff picture still unsettled. Tonight’s game at Matthews Arena, beginning at 7 p.m., will air on NESN and will be live-streamed outside of New England on CBS All-Access.

Currently tied with Providence for sixth place, BU can still finish anywhere between fourth and ninth; it needs either one point or a loss or tie by New Hampshire to assure a spot in the conference quarterfinals.

The Huskies, who have lost their past four games and sit in eighth place, have been playing without top scorer Tyler Madden for several weeks. Junior Zach Solow has 30 points and senior D Ryan Shea has 29. Grad transfer goalie Craig Pantano, with 17 wins, has a 2.53 GAA and a .913 save percentage.

In December, BU doubled up the Huskies, 6-3. Last month the teams played to a 4-4 tie in the Beanpot title game, although NU claimed the title in double overtime, 5-4.
