UPDATED: Poll Story; Focus on Willander's debut; Red hot Tkachuk

In the USCHO Division 1 Poll, Terriers slipped five spots down to #6, albeit with one first-place vote. Minnesota is the new leader, followed by Denver, BC and Quinnipiac.

BU also slotted in at #6 in the USA Hockey/The Rink Live Men's College Hockey Poll, just behind North Dakota who will visit Agganis Arena in a few weeks. Again, the Terriers received one first-place vote.

Everything College Hockey's ranking has BU at #5.

Elite Prospects Director of European Scouting Lassi Alanen takes a close look at  Tom Willander's Terrier debut on Friday night.

Prior to Friday night, the last Wildcat win over BU was a 4-3 defeat of the Terriers on Feb. 14, 2015 as BU had won 12 straight in the series.

Grad student Sam Stevens won 12 of 18 draws in the game at New Hampshire. Willander, Aiden Celebrini and Jeremy Wilmer were all +2. On the negative side, Devin Kaplan was -3, while Lane Hutson and Case McCarthy were -2.

Cole Eiserman's five point night (3G,2A) against his future team gives a U18-leading 18 points--including 13 goals--in 9 games. Kamil Bednarik, with three helpers, has 12 points in 10 games and Cole Hutson, who scored his first two goals of the season, now has five points.

Looking ahead

NHL Draft Pros (YouTube Video) offers its ranking of the top 16 prospects for the 2016 Entry Draft. It has Macklin Celebrini #1, Cole Eiserman #2 and Cole Hutson #11.

2024 recruit Max Lacroix turned aside 43 of 46 shots in regulation and overtime, but the NAHL Colorado Grit lost to Lone Star in the shootout, falling by a 4-3 score.

Looking back

Brady Tkachuk is off to a red-hot start. The Senators' captain scored a pair of goals--his third and fourth--and added an assist as Ottawa defeated Tampa Bay, 5-2.

Alex Vlasic's 90-foot, on-the-tape pass sprung Corey Perry for a breakaway goal that was the game-winner as the Blackhawks defeated Toronto, 4-1

Clayton Keller scored his first of the season, but that's all the Coyotes could muster, as Arizona was edged by the Rangers, 2-1.
