NHL.com's Mike Morreale spoke with 2024 recruit Cole Eiserman--as well as his NTDP coach Nick Fohr--ahead of this month's NHL Entry Draft where the left wing from Newburyport is expected to be chosen in the first half of round one.
"I mean, if you want the puck, you got to be able to defend and that's something I'm adding to my game even more to become an overall 200-foot player," Eiserman said. "Obviously, I'm trying to round out my game to help us win. If I do that, I know I can be on the ice in any situation."

We’re back!!
Six Terriers are among the 100 invitees to the NHL Draft Combine that begins today in Buffalo. Along with projected #1 draft pick Macklin Celebrini, there are four 2024 recruits-- Cole Eiserman, Cole Hutson, Kamil Bednarik and Jack Pridham—and 2025 recruit Mikhail Yegorov, who is Central Scouting’s top rated North American goalie for the draft. The 6’4” netminder was named to the USHL all-Rookie team despite playing for the league’s weakest team. (Video)
2024 recruit Alexander Zetterberg, who is Central Scouting’s #18 European prospect, will not be at the Combine.
Both Eiserman and Hutson established new NTDP career marks during the World U18 Championships where Team USA won the silver medal. With 127 goals over two seasons, Eiserman surpassed Cole Caufield’s 126. Hutson, who set a single season record for points by a defenseman last season, brought his career total to 119 with another strong performance at the World U18s with a best-by-a-blueliner 13 points, earning Best Defenseman honors.

Looking ahead
Our friend @BurntBoats has issued an almost-complete roster projection chart for the upcoming seasons. His post points out that a third goalie and an eighth defenseman will be added to the 2024 roster with one likely to be a freshman and the other a transfer. Stay tuned for an update.
2025 recruit John McNelis earned a spot on the USHL All-Rookie second team after putting up 38 points (18G,20A) in his first USHL season.
Looking back
With Edmonton eliminating Dallas is six games in the Western Conference final, Florida’s Evan Rodrigues is the only Terrier still competing for the Stanley Cup. If the Panthers defeat the Oilers, he’d become the 12th Terrier with his name on the Cup.
Jake Oettinger was a playoff standout for Dallas once again with a 2.24 GAA and a .915 save percentage in 19 starts.
