And so is Conte Forum for Saturday's rematch as #8 Terriers and #1 Eagles get set for their 296th and 297th meetings. With six conference points at stake, BU sits in first place, two points ahead of BC.
►BU Hockey Writer Scott Weighart suggests that the “7-5 road loss at Yale on Dec. 29 represented a low point for the Boston University men's ice hockey team this season. Yet, it could prove to be the turning point.”
He discusses this with Coach Jay Pandolfo, co-captain Shane Lachance and senior Jack Hughes, who points out:
"I'd say Yale was definitely a low point, a bit of a wake-up call for us. But we've responded since then - last weekend and this weekend. I don't want to say quite yet that we have turned it around with obviously a huge test coming up with BC. So maybe you could ask me again next Saturday. But we've turned the page and put in a lot of work."

In his weekly media call, Pandolfo spoke about goalie Mikhail Yegorov, who was added to the roster this week:
"He was in [USHL] Omaha, they've had a little bit of a tough stretch there the last couple years. We thought best thing for his development if we could get him in here now...Being able to work with [goalie coach] Brian Daccord on a regular basis, being able to practice at this level with our players, and an opportunity to compete to play as well. Those are some of the reasons behind it. It gives him a head start for next year."

Looking ahead
TSN’s Bob McKenzie released his mid-term draft rankings with five Terriers projected for late first and early second round selection: Sacha Boumedienne-24, Jack Murtagh-28, Simon Wang-31, Charlie Trethewey-32, Conrad Fondrk-43 and Carter Amico-47. Wang is a 2026 recruit.
2025 recruit Jack Pridham scored the game-winner on a power-play one-timer (3:34 of the highlights) and added an assist in Kitchener’s 5-2 win over London. Since joining the Rangers, the 6’2” right wing has a 13-14-27 line in 25 games and leads the team in points per game (1.08) and is tied for most game-winners (4).
2026 recruit Rian Chudzinski leads top-ranked (by NEHJ) Dexter-Southfield in scoring with 24 points in 14 games. Dan Donato’s team was the publication’s pre-season #1 and has some of the best offensive and defensive stats in New England prep hockey.
Right behind Dexter is The Rivers School coached by BU All-American and NHLer Freddy Meyer. His younger son, Carter, leads the region with 2.64 ppg and 37 points in 14 games. He rang up 8 goals and eleven points in his last three games. Meyer is considered a strong candidate for the next NTDP U17 roster, along with linemates Finn Sears and Sam Pandolfo.
Looking back
Lane Hutson notched his 36th assist as Montreal edged Tampa Bay, 3-2. With 39 points, he is the league’s top rookie scorer, five points ahead of Macklin Celebrini and Matvei Michkov. Hutson extended his point streak to nine games, matching the second-longest run by a Montreal rookie.
