Terriers travel to Amherst today to take on Don “Toot” Cahoon’s UMass Minutemen. BU needs a win or tie to clinch the season’s series, having beaten and tied UMass back in October. The game airs on CBS College Sports, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The game provides a matchup of brothers who lead their respective teams in goal-scoring. BU co-captain Joe Periera has 12 markers for BU, while his brother Mike, a freshmen, has scored ten goals for UMass.
BU has seven conference games remaining, all with teams in the bottom half of the conference standings. Terriers will need to win nearly all those games to secure third place in the playoff seedings. Merrimack is tied with BU for third and has a game in hand.

Women's team
After dropping Tuesday night’s Beanpot opener to BC, 2-1, the third-ranked Terriers resume conference play with a home-and-home series against Northeastern: tonight at Walter Brown Arena and tomorrow’s matinee at Matthews Arena. And, due to the Beanpot matchups, the teams will meet again Tuesday in the Beanpot consolation at Conte Forum.
