Terriers
are on the road in Maine to take on the Black Bears. Under the new Hockey East schedule, this will be BU's only visit to Alfond Arena, where the team worked out this morning, during the regular season.
The
game will air on Fox College Sports Atlantic at 7 p.m. Find the station on your cable or satellite system here.
Maine
(4-4-1) is led by senior Mark Anthoine (5-2-7) and freshman Cam Brown (1-6-7).
Senior goalie Martin Oulette has a 2.31 GAA and a .921 save percentage.
Sean
Maguire, who will start for BU, has a .941 save percentage—eight best
nationally— and a 2.03 GAA, but a lack of offense has resulted in just one win
in his four previous starts. Coach David Quinn has shuffled his lines to jump
start the offense. The Daily Free Press reports that Cason Hohmann will join
Danny O’Regan and Matt Lane, while freshman Robbie Baillargeon moves to his
natural position, center, between Evan Rodrigues and Nick Roberto. Sam Kurker
centers the third line with Tommy Kelley and TJ Ryan on the wings. Here's the full line-up:
Lane-O’Regan-Hohmann
Rodrigues-Baillargeon-Roberto
Kelley-Kurker-Ryan
Moran-Lawrence-Duane
Oksanen-Noonan

hockey’s top
rivalries, including BU-BC.
Looking
ahead
Five
BU recruits are listed on the NHL Central Scouting’s November players
to watch list for the 2014 draft: Johnathan
MacLeod, Chase Phelps, JJ Piccinich, Maxim Letunov and Bobo Carpenter. Jack Eichel,
a late ‘96 birthdate, isn’t draft eligible ‘til 2015.
Thanks
to the blog reader who pointed out that 2015 recruit Charles McAvoy scored his
first goal of the season in the NTDP U17s 8-2 win
over Switzerland last week in the Four Nations Tournament in Slovakia. The
blueliner from Long Beach, N.Y., also added an assist.
Looking
back
Charlie
Coyle stole the puck and then his centering pass of the skates of Zach Parise
and Phil Kessel eluded Leafs goalie Jonathan Bernier for the tying goal. The
Wild then eeked out a 2-1
shootout win.
Colby
Cohen has joined NESN’s
college hockey broadcast team
Sahir
Gill’s first goal as a professional was all that ECHL Wheeling needed in a 1-0
blanking of Elmira. The Nailers are coached by former Terrier standout and
U.S. Olympian Clark Donatelli.
Women’s
Team
#8
Terriers are in Vail, Colorado, to play two WCHA team, St. Cloud State tonight
and #2 Wisconsin tomorrow in a new four team event. Hockey East rival
Northeastern also plays the two western schools. BU’s offense, led by captain
Louise Warren and sophomore Sarah Lefort is sixth in the nation, while the defense,
led by goalie Kerrin Sperry is ranked seventh.
