Sophomore
Danny O’Regan earned Hockey East’s co-player of the week recognition for his
two-goal effort that help lift BU past Providence Friday night. He added an
assist the next night. Terriers making the weekly top performers list: Robbie
Baillargeon, Matt O’Connor, and Ahti Oksanen, who, with a goal and an assist
against the Friars, remains the top-scoring Divison 1 defenseman with nine
points.
BU moved a
notch in the USCHO poll from 18 to 17. Next up is a home contest
with #8 BC.

Looking ahead
2014 recruits
Jack Eichel and Johnathan MacLeod are headed
to Finland with the NTDP U18s for the Four Nations’ Tournament. Team USA
takes on the hosts on Wednesday in the tournament opener.
The U17s,
with 2015 recruit Charlie McAvoy, also are headed across the pond and will play
in a Four Nations’ Tournament in Slovakia, beginning with an exhibition game
against the hosts on Wednesday.
Women’s Team
BU's trio of
wins against, Northestern, New Hampshire and Vermont brought BU a bundle of
recognition. Hockey East named BU its team
of the week, while captain Louis Warren (5 goals,1 assist) earned co-player
of the week honors. Kerrin Sperry, followed her October Goalie of the Month
selection by picking up goalie of the week recognition (0.98 GAA, 965 save %). Top performers were Sarah Lefort,
Kayla Tutino and Maddie Elia.
Sperry’s .954
save % is second best in Division 1, while Warren is tied for fourth in goals
per game (0.88).
The 6-1-1
Terriers moved back into the USCHO
poll’s top ten, with a #10 ranking.
