Hobey Hat Trick; Player of the Month; Spencer Penrose finalist

Freshman Jack Eichel, the nation’s leading scorer and the assist leader, was named to the Hobey Hat Trick of three finalists for the 2015 Hobey Baker Award. The other finalists are Harvard forward Jimmy Vesey and North Dakota goalie Zane McIntyre. The winner will be announced on April 10 at Matthews Arena in Boston.

Former Head coach Jack Parker talked with WGR Radio in Buffalo about Eichel

Senior Evan Rodrigues was named Hockey East's Warrior Player of the Month for March, the second time he's been selected for that honor in the past three months. Rodrigues tallied 12 points (4G, 8A) in six games and earned Most Outstanding Player honors in the NCAA Northeast Regional. Eichel, who also had 12 points in March, was named Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Month, earning the award for the fourth time in six months. Matt O’Connor was runner-up for Stop It Goaltender of the Month.

Terrier head coach David Quinn is one of eight finalists for the Spencer  Penrose Award for Division 1 Coach of the Year. All four Frozen Four head coaches are finalists. 

Quinn talked about the Frozen Four and BU’s season on Boston Herald Radio (audio) .
