Jack
Eichel and Evan Rodrigues, who combined to score 132 points for the Terriers
last season, were back on the ice together yesterday at Buffalo Sabres
Development Camp. Linemates
who led BU to the NCAA championship game, they finished first and second in the
nation in scoring with Eichel tallying 71 points and ERod adding 61.
Shortly
after the end of the season, Rodrigues, who finished his BU career with 121 points,
signed a two-year
entry-level contract with Buffalo. Eichel inked a three-year
deal with the Sabres shortly after being selected second overall in the Entry
Draft.

►Congratulation to Associate Head Coach Steve Greeley and his wife, Lauren, on the birth of daughter Nina Rose.
Looking
ahead
Terriers
lost one of their 2017 recruits when Kole Sherwood signed an entry
level contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets. The 18 year old, 6’0” right
wing from New Albany, Ohio, a Columbus suburb, was an undrafted invitee to the
Blue Jackets’ development camp where he impressed the staff. Apparently not wanting to risk losing the
talented local player in next June’s draft, the Blue Jackets signed Sherwood,
who forfeits his NCAA eligibility. He’ll play for London in the OHL this
season, rather than USHL Youngstown as previously intended. Sherwood had scored 48 points in 31 games for
the Junior Blue Jackets last season.

Congrats@KSherwood1997 on signing w CBJ his hometown team. Undrafted to NHL contract in 10 days huge accomplishment! Great kid and Player!!
BU staff identified kid out of
midgets who went undrafted in OHL/NHL Draft then signs ELC. Shows what eye for
talent O'Connell/Greeley have.
