World Junior Championships
Team USA named its final roster for the IIHF World Junior
Championships with sophomore Brandon Fortunato (photo) and freshman Charlie McAvoy,
along with 2016 recruit Chad Krys making up a substantial part of the defense
corps. 2016 recruit Clayton Keller, the leading scorer on the NTDP U18s, was among the final two roster cuts.
With sophomore Brandon Hickey having made Team Canada’s final roster, half of BU’s starting defense will be on the ice in Helsinki this
Saturday when Team USA meets Canada at 1 p.m. ET in the first preliminary round
game. That contest and all Team USA games will air live on the NHL Networks.
