Twelve
days after their last game, the #4 Terriers open conference play with a
home-and-home series with defending Hockey East champion Northeastern. Gametime
tonight at ancient Matthews Arena is 7 p.m. for the contest that will be
livestreamed free of charge (Link). Bernie
Corbett and Mark Linehan will broadcast the game on the Terrier Sports Radio
Network.
Since
David Quinn became the Terriers’ head coach in 2013, BU has won seven of eight
match-ups with their longtime crosstown rival, most recently in last February’s
Beanpot semifinal.
The
Huskies’ offense is led by Zach Alston-Reese (4G,6A), Adam Gaudette (5+5) and
Dylan Sikura (2+9), who had a highlight-reel goal in NU’s loss to Vermont last
Sunday. Sophomore goalie Ryan Ruck is back in the Huskies’ cage after a strong
second half last season.
After
five games, BU’s top scorers are freshmen Patrick Harper (2G,6A) and sophomores
Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson (2+5) and Jordan Greenway (3+3).
The
Daily Free Press reports that junior wing Nikolas Olsson will miss tonight’s
game with an upper-body injury. Tonight's BU line-up:.
Kieffer Bellows - Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson - Bobo Carpenter
Patrick Harper - Clayton Keller - Jordan Greenway
Patrick Curry - Ryan Cloonan - Nick Roberto
Tommy Kelley - Johnny McDermott - Gabriel Chabot
