Danny
O’Regan, who led BU in scoring last season with 44 points and scored 154
points in154 games as a Terrier, was recalled from the AHL by San Jose and
played in last night’s 4-0 win against New Jersey. He's the 76th
Terrier to reach the NHL and joins Dad, Tom O’Regan, in the first BU father/son
NHL duo. And, according to College Hockey Inc., O'Regan and Jake Guentzel of Nebraska-Omaha, who also made his NHL debut last night, are the 22nd and 23rd players who skated in the NCAA last season to make their NHL debut.
It
was a “Three Dog Night” at the Shark Tank with Matt Nieto also skating for San
Jose and John Hynes behind the Devils’ bench.
