Rosters
have been announced for the two USA squads that will participate in next
month’s World Junior Summer Showcase, a first step toward choosing the US
Junior National Team that will compete in the World Junior Championships.
Sophomore Chad Krys and freshmen Brady Tkachuk and Logan Cockerill are on the
Blue squad, while sophomores Jake Oettinger and Patrick Harper will skate for
the White squad. The tournament begins on July 29 in Plymouth, Michigan.
USA
White plays defending WJC champion Finland on the first day of the event, while
USA Blue faces off with the Finns the next day. Freshman Kasper Kotkansalo, a
Red Wings third-round draft pick who won a gold medal in the 2016 World U18s,
is on the Finnish U20 roster.

Finn Prospects report
At
the recently completed Senior Chowder Cup tournament, three current Terriers
and a future one were among the top 16 scorers. David Farrance (photo) led all scorers
with 19 points, while Hank Crone was second with 13. Tkachuk and 2019 recruit
Trevor Zegras tied for 11th with eight points.
