In the Hockey East pre-season coaches’ poll, Terriers were voted to finish sixth, one spot ahead of UConn and one behind Northeastern. Nineteen lettermen return, joined by six freshmen and two transfers. Last season, defenseman David Farrance, a Hobey Baker Award top 10 finalist, led all Division 1 blueliners in points (43), goals (14) and power-play goals (9).

Looking ahead
2021 recruit Quinn Hutson scored his 10th goal in 13 games and added an assist in Penticton’s 5-2 win against Salmon Arm in the semifinal of the Okanagan Cup pre-season tournament. The Vees will meet Vernon in the championship game on Saturday.

2022 recruit Michael LaStarza tallied his first USHL goal in Waterloo’s 4-2 opening night win against Sioux City. 2021 recruit Brian Carrabes assisted on both Musketeers’ goals.

In the Hockey East pre-season coaches’ poll, #9 ranked nationally Terriers were voted to finish second. BU, whose 17 returning letter winners are joined by seven freshmen, finished second in the regular season last year with an 18-6-3 record. The top returning scorers are 2020-21 co-captains Nara Elia (11-19-30) and Jesse Compher (13-16-29). Senior goalie Corinne Schroeder had a 1.54 GAA with four shutouts.
