This Date in Terrier Hockey: March 7
1972:
Defending national champion and #2 seed in the ECAC playoffs dominated RPI,
8-2, in the quarterfinals behind two goals each by All-American defenseman Bob
Brown and Ron Anderson. Captain Jake Danby had a three-point game with a goal
and two assists. Steve Dolloff, Bob Gryp and Guy Burrowes also scored for the
Terriers setting up a meeting with Harvard in the semifinals at Boston Garden.
The year before, the Crimson had upset BU in the ECAC semifinals.

Eichel scored with 5.2 seconds left in regulation—his 3rd goal—to
push Vegas past Ottawa, 2-1.
Brady Tkachuk scored his 18th goal for the Senators.
Jake
Oettinger stopped 32 shots in the Stars’ 6-3
win against Minnesota. The victory was his 19th of the season
and his eighth in nine decisions over the past month.
