Dick Rodeneheiser, who played two seasons as a BU center, skated on Team USA at Squaw Valley, Calif., and became the first Terrier to win Olympic gold in hockey. He had previously won a silver medal in 1956 in Cortina, Italy, making him the second Terrier to earn two Olympic medals, along with Gordon Smith (1932 and 1936). Chris Drury would join the two-medal club winning silver in 2002 in Salt Lake City and in 2010 in Vancouver.
