#2 Terriers are back in the NCAA Regionals again and as the top seed in the Sioux Falls Regional, they’ll take on the fourth seed, Atlantic Champion RIT. Game time at the Denny Sanford Premier Center is set for 5 p.m. ET with ESPNU broadcasting the contest and ESPN+ providing the live stream. The game also is available on TSN+.
Terriers (26-9-2) saw their seven-game winning streak snapped in the Hockey East championship game. RIT (27-10-2) is a riding a seven-game win streak, include five Atlantic Hockey tournament games.
“These guys, they respond pretty well, so that’s the expectation,” head coach Jay Pandolfo, who has instructed his team to “have a short memory,” said at Wednesday’s press conference. “This is a whole new season. Now everyone’s in the same spot, everyone’s zero and zero here in the NCAA Tournament, so that’s our mindset going in.”
He added, “The margin for error is very slim in these games, so you have to make sure you’re doing things the right way, you’re disciplined, and not only discipline taking penalties but discipline in the way you want to play. You can’t beat yourself.”
