With four goals and an assist in five games, freshman Cole Eiserman earned Hockey East Rookie of the Month honors. The career goal-scoring leader at the NTDP scored twice, including the game-winner, in BU's only conference game thus far, a 4-2 win against UConn.
GoTerriers.com reports that "Eiserman was just the second Terrier since at least 2002-03 to score four goals in his first three collegiate games; Shane Bowers also notched four goals in his first three games as a Terrier during the 2017-18 season."

►Blog contributor BU Oldtimer provided his thoughts on a second viewing of Saturday’s win.
One man's opinions and observations. As always, dissenting and concurring opinions are welcome.
1. BU had survived slow starts versus Holy Cross and Union prior to last weekend. Certainly, North Dakota is a much stronger opponent, and made BU pay for its sins Friday night. Simply stated, two or three crisp passes in rapid succession are apt to make any defense look inept, slow and flat footed, especially when the opponent is as fast and talented as North Dakota is.
2. While watching Saturday night's game, I thought BU struggled to get behind the North Dakota defense to establish an effective forecheck. After viewing the replay my observation was wrong. Aside from a few short stretches, BU had plenty of prolonged possessions in the offensive zone.
3. In his Takeaways from Saturday night's game, defkit praised Tom Willander's play. I agree. Aside from missing a center ice check on North Dakota's second goal Friday night, he had a very solid weekend. He keeps his play simple and straightforward.
4. It seems that Ryan Greene has scored several PP goals in a similar manner. The puck is down low around the opponent's net drawing in the defenders. The BU point man rotates to the left faceoff circle allowing Greene to slyly move to the top of the slot, receive a pass and take a shot from dead on center.
5. I thought Jack Hughes and Jack Harvey had solid weekends.
6. Doug Grimes took a shift late in Saturday night's game and acquitted himself well.
7. Cole Hutson had a tough weekend. Let's hope he benefits from the experience.

Stanislau assesses Devils’ goalie prospects including 2025 recruit Mikhail
Yegorov, now in his second USHL season, whom he describes as “a real stud of a
goalie. (includes video)
Mikhail Yegorov tracks the plays in front of him very well and guards his post tightly sealed. He can make a heads-up poke check when opponents are tight on his crease. Yegorov does a stellar job slowing the pace down, freezing the puck when it's necessary. He looks locked in when in the butterfly, covering the lower portion of the net, and is great at snuffing out upcoming plays. This goalie looks very calm and confident in moving post to post laterally with ease.

►The Athletic examined “some of the less heralded names exceeding expectation so far this season” and Hutson tops their list:
How he’s looked: Hutson dominated the NCAA over the past couple of years, but as an undersized 5-foot-9 defenseman, especially one without elite draft pedigree, there were questions about how seamlessly his game would translate to the NHL. It hasn’t been a perfectly smooth transition — he’s had a couple of rough outings defensively — but Hutson is flashing sky-high potential with his electrifying skill set.
The 20-year-old is already leading the Canadiens in averaging 23:11 per game. As colleague Arpon Basu pointed out, he’s top 20 among all NHL defensemen in even-strength minutes.
