Terriers Slay SLU

BU won its second non-conference game of the week, 4-1 over St. Lawrence, with an effort that pleased head coach Jack Parker far more than Tuesday’s 3-2 win against Holy Cross. Junior Zach Cohen, scoring his second goal in as many games, deflected a Matt Gilroy shot from point for the game-winner. Senior Chris Higgins' (photo) goalmouth pass to set up Colin Wilson’s second-period goal gave him 100 career points, making him the 75th Terrier to reach that milestone. Senior co-captain John McCarthy assisted on Brandon Yip's first-period goal and later set up a shorthander for Kevin Shattenkirk. Kieran Millan stopped 24 shots, yielding only a powerplay goal, earning his sixth win in seven starts. We have recaps from BU Athletics, USCHO and The Boston Globe, plus a detailed boxscore and video highlights.

  • It's too early for Pairwise Rankings (PWR) but College Hockey News has posted rankings using the KRACH system and the Terriers are currently fifth, due to their record and strength of schedule.
