Beanpot Final on tap

With the Beanpot final set for tomorrow night, The Boston Globe and The Boston Herald focused on sophomore defenseman David Warsofsky and the number of high-profile games he’s played in during the past 10 months—2009 National Championship game, Red Hot Hockey 2 at Madison Square Garden, World Junior Championships final, and Frozen Fenway.

Monday Night Beanpot Watch parties for Terriers are scheduled from New England to Florida to California. Click here for details and a special message from Coach Jack Parker.

Looking ahead
2010 recruit Charlie Coyle scored his 18th goal of the season in South Shore Kings' 4-0 win against the Jersey Hitmen. Coyle is tied for fourth in scoring in the EJHL with 55 points.

Looking back
BU’s only two Hobey Baker winners combined for a goal in the Rangers’ 3-1 win against the Devils. Captain Chris Drury was set up in the high slot by Matt Gilroy for his 9th goal (video) of the season.

Brandon Yip’s early NHL success continues to attract media attention. The Edmonton Journal and Slam Hockey both spoke with the former Terrier winger. Yip scored his 9th goal—in 21 games-- on an empty-netter in the Avs 3-0 win over the Oilers. He’s now 7th on Colorado in goal-scoring.
