Hockey in July: Comm Ave Charity Classic Returns Tonight

Former Terrier and Eagle hockey standouts take to the ice at Walter Brown Arena tonight for the second annual Comm Ave Charity Classic. The contest, beginning at 7 p.m., will benefit The Travis Roy Foundation and Compassionate Care ALS, which supports people with the fatal neuromuscular disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

Last summer’s inaugural event—final score: BU 7 BC 5— drew more than 3,500 fans and raised $55,000.

The rosters for tonight’s game include three Terriers who have become Stanley Cup champions—Shawn McEachern, Jay Pandolfo and Nick Bonino—along with BC’s Brian Leetch and Brian Dumoulin.  Behind the benches will be legendary coaches Jack Parker and Jerry York.
