Noonan, Moran power BU past BC at CACC #3

Former BU captain Garrett Noonan scored a hat trick and Mike Moran added two goals and three assists as the Terrier alums won the third annual Comm Ave. Charity Classic at Walter Brown Arena, 8-6. BU also received two goals from 2015 Hobey Baker Award winner Jack Eichel and one from another former captain, Sean Sullivan.

Looking ahead
2020 recruit Dylan Petersen is participating in USA Hockey’s Select 15 Development Camp, skating for the Forest team. A dual US and Canadian citizen, he's considered to be the best 2002 prospect in Ontario and in the running for the #1 overall OHL pick in their next draft. Skating for the Canadian International Hockey Academy Voyageurs Bantam AAs, Peterson led the OEBHL in scoring with 48 points (23G, 25A) in 29 games.

The HockeyWriters.com July rankings for the 2018 draft has three future Terriers in the top 31: incoming freshman Brady Tkachuk #6, 2018 recruit Joel Farabee #13 and 2018 recruit Jake Wise #29.

Looking back
Nick Roberto has signed a contract with the ECHL South Carolina Stingrays, an affiliate of the Washington Capitals. Roberto scored 14 points for BU last season and 44 over three seasons.

“We’re excited to add Nick, a right-shot forward that can get up and down the ice and plays a 200-foot game”, said Stingrays Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Ryan Warsofsky. “We’ve talked to Nick and followed him through his career at BU. He’s coming from a really good program and knows how to play but also knows how to win. He adds to our speed, plays the way we want to play and is a real good addition for us this summer.”

Ryan Warsofsky is the older brother of former Terrier David Warsofsky, who skated in last night’s Comm Ave Charity Classic.
