Fensore to lead 2022-23 Terriers, also named team MVP

Rising senior Domenick Fensore was named captain of the 2022-23 Terriers at a somewhat subdued team banquet this past Saturday. The left-shot defenseman from Thornwood, N.Y., led BU in scoring (31 points) this past season, earning the Ed Carpenter Award for most points as well as the George V. Brown Most Valuable Player Award. In addition, Fensore shares the Clifford P. Fitzgerald Scholarship Award (outstanding junior or senior defenseman) with Alex Vlasic, who recently made his NHL debut with the Blackhawks.

Fensore will be joined in the Terrier leadership group by fellow rising seniors Case McCarthy and Jay O'Brien. McCarthy, who was named Hockey East Defender of the Month for November, had a career-best 14 points this season. O'Brien also set new career marks with 10 goals and 12 assists.

Looking ahead

2022 recruit Charles-Alexis Legault leads all BCHL defensemen in playoff scoring with 10 points in seven games for West Kelowna. 2023 recruit Nick Roukounakis has seven points for the Warriors who lead their second playoff round series vs. Salmon Arm, 3-0.

2022 recruit Quinn Hutson scored his 32nd goal in Muskegon's 6-2 win against the NTDP U17s. 2024 recruit Ryan Fine scored his 4th goal for Team USA.

2023 recruit Michael LaStarza scored his 16th goal and added a pair of assists in Sioux Falls' 8-2 win against Tri-City. The Montreal native leads the Stampede with 40 points. 2022 recruit Jeremy Wilmer picked up his 68th assist (and 91st point) for the Storm.

2022 recruits Devin Kaplan and Lane Hutson each had a primary assist in Team USA's 3-2 shootout loss to Sweden in a pre-tournament exhibition at the IIHF World U18 Championships in Germany.

Looking back

Brady Tkachuk scored his 28th goal in Ottawa's 4-2 loss to Seattle.


Jake Oettinger stopped 23 shots in the Stars' 2-1 win against San Jose. 

Adam Clendening assisted on a pair of goals in Lehigh Valley's 3-2 loss to Providence. He leads all Phantoms defensemen with 39 points.

Shane Bowers scored his sixth goal in AHL Colorado's 6-2 win against Tuscon.
