Terriers Beat Providence in Season Opener

BU defeated the Providence Friars by a score of 4-2 in their opener Saturday night at Agganis Arena.  Cason Hohmann led the way with the game-winning goal and two assists.

The Friars took the lead early in the second period before Garrett Noonan tied the game, and Hohmann scored the winner on a dropback pass from Evan Rodrigues. Ben Rosen added an empty-netter in the third.  Freshman goaltender Matt O'Connor stopped 26 of the 28 shots he faced in the win.

The Terriers will face off against the University of New Hampshire next Saturday at 7 pm.
