Looking ahead

2015 recruit Charlie McAvoy assisted on a pair of goals for the NTDP U18s who doubled up Madison, 6-3. He was paired on power plays with uncommitted defenseman Chad Krys, recently moved up from the U17s, who also had two assists. 2015 recruit Sean MacTavish contributed an assist for the Capitols.

2015 recruit Robert Carpenter scored his 23rd goal of the season as Sioux City thumped Cedar Rapids, 4-1. Carpenter is sixth in the USHL in goal-scoring, and with 47 points, he’s also sixth in points.

Avon Old Farms dropped a 5-2 decision to Salisbury.  Both of the Winged Beavers' goals were scored by 2016 recruit Patrick Harper.

Looking back
Colin Wilson scored his 19th goal of the season for Nashville.  The Predators lost to the Flyers 3-2 in a shootout.

Thirty-five years ago today, four Terriers—Mike Eruzione, Jim Craig, Jack O’Callahan and Dave Silk—and their U.S. Olympic teammates defeated the Soviet Union, 4-3, in what has been called the greatest sporting event of the 20th century.

Women’s Team
The Terriers concluded the regular season with a 2-2 overtime tie with top-ranked BC.  BU received goals from Samantha Sutherland and Maddie Elia.  Captain Marie-Philip Poulin found the net in overtime; but the goal was waived off because of a goaltender-interference call on BU's Kayla Tutino.

BU will host a best-of-three Hockey East quarterfinal series beginning next Friday against Vermont.
