Playoff season begins tonight for #3 BU with a Hockey East
quarterfinal best-of-three series against Merrimack. Puck drop at Agganis Arena
is at 7:30 p.m. The game will air on HockeyEast’s Live
Streaming Video (PPV).
The
Terriers and Warriors last met in December when a Danny O’Regan hat trick
powered BU to a 4-2 victory on home ice. The night before, in North Andover,
the teams battled to a 1-1 overtime tie.
The
Warriors offense is led by freshman Brett Seney and sophomore Hampus
Gustafsson. Goalie Rasmus Tirronen keyed last weekend’s two-game upset of
Northeastern in the first round. Merrimack stats
Terrier Coach David Quinn indicated yesterday that he wasn't sure whether freshman defenseman John MacLeod, who had suffered an upper-body injury, would be available for tonight's game. BU stats
