Game Day: Terriers take on the Pioneer in NCAA West regional

#12 Terriers are back in action today in the NCAA West Regional, taking on #7 Denver at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. ESPNU will air the game live at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Making its 34th NCAA appearance, BU has 41 tournament wins, fifth most, trailing only Minnesota, Michigan, and BC.

BU and DU had an early season meeting at Agganis Arena with BU coming out on top, 5-4, on senior Ahti Oksanen’s overtime goal (highlights). BU's top scorers are senior Danny O'Regan (43), Oksanen (36), freshman Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson (29) and senior Matt Lane (28). (BU stats)



The Pioneers are led by their top line of freshman Dylan Gambrell (15-28--43), sophomore Danton Heinen (19-23--42) and junior Trevor Moore (9-33--42). Junior Will Butcher is the top blueliner, while sophomore Tanner Jaillet has handled most of the goaltending duties.(Denver stats)

Looking ahead
2016 recruit Patrick Harper scored his first USHL goal and added an assist in Omaha’s 4-2 win against Fargo. Harper had scored 59 points in 27 games as a senior at Avon Old Farms.
