Honors for Oettinger, Flynn, O'Neil

A week after earning Hockey East’s Defensive Player of the Week honors, freshman goalie Jake Oettinger was named Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week for a second time this season. The Edina, Minnesota native blanked Vermont on Saturday night, stopping all 28 shots, and put up a 1.52 GAA and a .930 save percentage for the weekend series.

Clayton Keller, who returned to the BU line-up after missing seven games, earned a spot on the weekly top performers list after scoring a goal and an assist and winning 24 of 36 faceoffs in the two-game series.

Terriers slipped one spot, to #6, in both the USCHO and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls.

Looking back
Ahti Oksanen was recalled from ECHL Greenville to the Hartford Wolfpack and made his AHL debut on Sunday afternoon against his former teammate Matt Grzelcyk and the Providence Bruins. Oksanen was the Swamp Rabbits’ top rookie scorer with 11 points (6G, 5A).
