Player of the Week Farrance continued his elite-level play with eight points (2G,6A), including an overtime game-winning goal against UMass and assists on the game-winner in both victories over Maine. He leads the nation in points/game with 2.33, assists per game with 1.67 and in shooting percentage with .364 goals/shot.

Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week Commesso anchored the three wins, yielding just six goals and stopping 97 of 103 shots. He has won his last five starts and allowed only one even-strength goal in the past weekend’s sweep of Maine.
Freshman Luke Tuch was named to the Hockey East top performers list. He earned a point in all three Terrier wins last week, scoring a goal and adding two assists to go along with four blocked shots in three contests.

Rankings and Polls
Now with a 5-1-0 record, the Terriers currently are ranked #15 in both the USCHO Weekly poll and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll. Last week, BU was #21 in the USCHO poll.
In the PairWise rankings, BU is ranked third and has the second-best winning percentage (0.883).
►Four Terriers have plus records in the faceoff circle: Max Kaufman (.750 on 4 draws), Sam Stevens (.611 on 36 draws), Wilmer Skoog (.532 on 77 draws), and Matt Quercia (.529 on 34 draws). Quercia is the team leader in blocks with 11.
Looking ahead
2023 recruit Anton Castro stopped 22 of 25 shots in the NAHL Northeast Generals’ 6-3 win against New Jersey. Castro, from Mendota Heights, Minnesota, earned his third win of the season.
Looking back
Jack Eichel scored the only shootout goal, giving Buffalo a 4-3 win against Washington.
Matt Nieto scored his second goal in San Jose’s 5-3 win against Minnesota.
Women’s Team
Terriers dropped the second game of its two-game series with Maine, 2-0.
