tw-align-centerLook for Boston University to beef up its depth on D by adding Joseph Campolieto & Thomas Jarman in January. Campolieto is a transfer from Union. Jarman has played 2-plus seasons for Maryland of NAHL & committed to Terriers last month

Mark Divver reports that BU is expected to bolster its defense corps by having RD Thomas Jarman, who committed in late November, come aboard for second semester, along with LD Joseph Campolieto, who is transferring from Union College. The Dutchmen are one of several ECAC school who shut down their program for the season. Campolieto, 6’0”, 185 from Enyon, Penn., grew up in the WB/Scranton Knights organization and played a season in the USHL for Tri-City before becoming a mainstay on the Union blueline. He picked up a pair of assists in last year’s BU 7-3 win against Union.
Jarman, 6’3”, 201 from Pittsburgh, will emulate his former Maryland Bears teammate, Wilmer Skoog, and arrive on Comm Ave after the fall season in the NAHL. He has two goals and three assists in 13 games.

Team USA clinched first-place in Group B at the World Junior Championships in Edmonton with Trevor Zegras again leading the offense in a 4-0 win against Sweden. The Anaheim draft pick scored his tournament leading sixth goal and added two assists, bring his points total to a tournament-high 13.
Four minutes into the opening period, Zegras' quick-release shot from the left boards found a small opening, high to the short side, giving the U.S. a 2-0 lead.
With 22 points in his two WJC seasons, Zegras is tied with James Van Riemsdyk for third all-time among US skaters.
Team USA will face Slovakia in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
