Senior forward Matt Brown, who produced a career-best four points (2G,2A) in Saturday’s 5-2 win against UConn, has been named Hockey East Player of the Week. Now in his second season as a Terrier, the New Jersey native tallied the game-winner in each of the team’s last two victories, the UConn game and the Sunday win in Michigan. He leads the team in scoring with a 4-5-9 line and has points in four of the five games played.

Poll story: 9-9-9
In the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll, Terrier moved up two spots from #11 to #9. ESPN’s John Buccigross also ranks BU at #9 in his power rankings.
In the Pairwise Rankings, BU also is #9, just one slot behind UConn and one ahead of Providence.

Terriers scored eight goals in the two-game series after UConn had allowed just seven through its first six games
A pair of BU defensemen made Hockey East's Weekly Top Performers List: freshman Lane Hutson, who scored his first career goal Friday and had five blocks in the two games; and senior Case McCarthy, who led BU with eight blocked shots in the two games.
With nine points thus far, Brown is the current Hockey East leading scorer and has registered more than half of last of last season's point total of 17 in 24 games.

2024 recruit Jack Pridham scored a power play goal in St. Andrew’s College’s 4-1 loss to Pittsburgh Elite Penguins. The 6’2” right wing from Stouffville, Ontario, has 15 points in 12 games.
2023 recruit Aiden Celebrini assisted on the game-winner in AJHL Brooks’ 7-2 win against Lloydminster.

The Hockey News took a “where-are-they-now” look back at the 2019 NHL Entry Draft in which 17 NTDP players heard their names called. Four of the 17 would skate for BU: Trevor Zegras, Alex Vlasic, Dom Fensore and Case McCarthy.
Zegras’ third goal was the Ducks only tally in a 5-1 loss to the Red Wings.

Jake Oettinger returns to TD Garden tonight for the first time--as a player--since the 2019 Hockey East semifinal. Oettinger, who is second in the NHL with a 1.25 GAA, told the Dallas Morning News:"I love my time at BU so much. It’s one of my favorite cities in the world, so I’m a little sad that we don’t have a day to go to some old spots, go back to campus or anything like that.”
He added that he attended Game 2 of the 2019 Stanley Cup finals at the Garden, with tickets from Charley McAvoy.
