Cohen, Nicastro earn Hockey East honors

Defenseman Colby Cohen earned first team Hockey East Honors while his defensive sidekick for much of the season, Max Nicastro, was named to Hockey East's All Rookie team. Nick Bonino, the Terriers' leading scorer, picked up honorable mention All Star recognition. Cohen (photo) is tied for second nationally in goals by defensemen with 14. He also has five game-winning goals. Nicastro, who will be a game-time decision tomorrow due to the deep forearm gash suffered last weekend, has a 3-12-15 line in 36 games..

The Daily Free Press reports on the Terriers' preparations for its matchup with Maine on Friday night at 8 p.m., knowing that a win would allow them to defend their 2009 Hockey East title, but a loss would end BU's season.

Jim Connelly previews Friday night's conference tournament semifinal games in USCHO's weekly Hockey East column.
