Bobo Carpenter, who scored his first pro goal on Friday, wrote a thank you note to the BU coaches, his teammates, the BU Band and Terrier fans that was published in The Boston Hockey Blog.
In his second pro start, Jake Oettinger stopped 23 of 24 shots in AHL Texas's 2-1 win against Rockford. Chad Krys had two of the shots for the IceHogs.
With Dante Fabbro now playing on the Nashville blueline, BU has the fourth most players in the NHL with 20. Minnesota has 22, while North Dakota and BC each have 21.

At the
USA Hockey nationals, Wilmer
and 2022 recruit Devin Kaplan have led the Avalanche into the quarterfinals of
the Tier 1, 16U tournament. After three preliminary round games, Wilmer is the
16U top scorer with seven points, while Kaplan is the leading goal-scorer with
four, including a pair of game winners. Kaplan is a 15-year-old playing up with the
Avs, who play the St. Louis Blues today.
In the
18U Division, 2019 recruit Liam Gorman and 2020 recruit Liam Connors and the
Boston Jr. Eagles moved into the quarterfinals. Connors has three goals and an
assist, while Gorman has one assist. Both played for St. Sebastian’s last
season. The Eagles play Northwood Prep
today.
In the
14U Division, 2022 recruit Lane Hutson and Honeybaked advanced to the quarterfinals.
Hutson, a defenseman whose brother, Quinn, plays for the 16U Avalanche, had a
goal and an assist in preliminary round games. Honeybaked plays Pittsburgh Pens
Elite today.
