Hockey East Schedules announced: 20 games for men, 18 for women

Hockey East today announced schedules for men's and women's team in the delayed 2020-21 season. Men's teams will play 20 conference games while women's squads will play 18. Teams are able to add "non-conference" games against conference teams, which both Terrier squads will do.

The men's team will play two additional games with BC and two with Northeastern. The women's extra games are two home games with Providence and a pair in Vermont. The extra games are set for "flex weekends." if conference games have to be postponed due to health-related reasons, they can be made up during the flex weekends replacing the non-conference games.

Led by Captain Logan Cockerill, the men's team opens its season on the road in Vermont on Dec. 4 & 5 and a week later play a home-and-home against UMass. The schedule resumes on New Year's Day beginning another home-and-home at Northeastern on the first flex weekend. The rest of the schedule features home-and-home series with exception of a pair of home games against Maine.

Hockey East will again offer a slate of games on NESN with BU appearing three times: Dec. 11 & 12 vs. UMass and Jan. 1 vs. Northeastern. All other streamed games will be made available for free on a ViacomCBS Digital platform (details to be announced). Spectators will not be allowed at the games.
